changing the shifter
changing the shifter
i recently purchased a 5-speed 93 mx-3 gs & i wanted to change the shift knob & boot. the problem is that i can't figure out how to take it apart. can anyone help me get past this?

I think the shifter knob screws off... someone back me up here. About the boot... well I think that you have to take off the plastic moulding that hold the boot down.

Yep, the knob screws out. The boot is snapped around the knob at top and screw to the plastic thingy at the bottom. You'll have to remove the plastic part to access the screws.
