Changing a SOHC to a DOHC can that be done?<BR>and if so what am i looking at getting to make this happen """Is converting it worth it""""""" :roll: :eek:

IIRC, boostedmx did this swap and said it wasn't worth the trouble. you would be better off just dropping in b6t. yes they are both dohc's but the b6t is late 80's technology and the dohc mx is mid 90's. it's less trouble getting the b6t to work right.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

it depends which way you want to go. if you are looking to just swap the motor in and not turbo it or build it in any way its not worth it at all.the wiring doesnt match up and ecu is different. however this engine is the basis for all the 1.6l miata owners to build on. there has been quite a few 300+ hp miatas flyin around. i chose this engine over the b6t and the bpt because of high performance parts and excellent information availability. like i said ---drop in isnt worth anything, maybe 25hp
