Short shifer options

Post by Swego »

I ordered a Pacesetter short shifter last november and the dealer is telling me it`s still backorder! I read somewhere in the posts that a Ford Escort short shifter from Pacesetter would fit? If so anyone knows the part#? I also read that Pacesetter has the shifter made by another cie: anyone know if I can buy dirrectly from them?
Other than Pacesetter, any good short shifters?
Thanks

I'm not sure but I think it's the exact same part so it's probably the same part number.

I have a B&M short shifter it works very well. Or there is always the option of making your stock shifter into a short shifter. mrspanky79 has a detaild explanation on how to do it.
You can just call me the originator

I bought a shifter from a scrapyard and modified it as per your suggestions. Works great! I not too confortable with brazing so I fixed the ball with a set screw instead.

Hey man I have the same problem as you. I live in Ontario Canada and I ordered the pacesetter shifter from a local performance shop and it hasn't come in for like a month so I called pacesetter and they said the new order is being packaged and will be sent out this week some time.
