Want to improve performance

Post by ace0022 »

I'm looking for any way I can make performance improvements on my MX-3. If you have done any and know of ways that I can, please let me know. I don't know much about cars but I got an excellent mechanic that does.

Cheaper options:
PRM Jetstream cold air intake, feed it fresh air.
8.5mm Magnacore spark wires.
Buru Silverstone Sparkplugs.
Change muffler from single to double out. Standard GS muffler will fit perfectly.
more expensive options:
catback exhaust system or full free flow exhaust system which includes header, highflow cat and catback system.
1.6 B6T swap or 1.8 BPTurbo swap.
other stuff:
front and rear strut bars.
15",16" or 17" rims with wider width.
etc.
Other peeps may be able to add more

performance as in what? engine, suspension, braking??
Simple stuff would be to add a 2.0" cat-back exhaust, PRM intake, eibach springs and tokicos, a rear sway bar, and better brake pads.

I would also add the Unorthodox Racing lightened pulley to the list of performance mods for a MX-3.
It really improves the low end and proves a hp/torque gain throughout the entire rpm power band.
