I had the same problem but I searched in yahoo for " 3" Intake Adaptor" and I found all kinds of sites. I ended up buying one from RacingLab.com but they are a little pricey. know Ive a Weapon R dragon intake w/ heat sheild and am getting ready to hook up the ram air kit. There's no bypass for the mazda but there is one for the Eclipse but I don't know how healthy it would be for your engine. hope i helped.

------------------
Shady MX-3
92 1.6L SOHC

Hey man i got a weapon r dragon intake and its pretty tight. I just went to the performance store and they had a little universal adapter that fit it well
i have a 93 rs. I can honestly say that it made a huge difference in acceleration. Specialy 1st gear. i just gotta get a heat shield for it, and maybe the metal tubing for dress. Well its my fav mod now, better than my aero speed exhaust!!
vroom vroom.... errr. ~tail-lights~ ahhh i lost again, atleast my car looks good! :)

I have a Ractive filter in my 93RS and I also needed the adapter to fit in front of the air flow meter. Luckily the filter I bought, came with a stainless steel one. It has a rectangular shape with a circular adapter hole for the cone filter and four holes to fit onto the flow meter.
