Sunroof lifter broken?
To open the sunroof on my '93 GS, I have to push up at the back of the sunroof while using the button to open it. Is there a lifting device that could be jammed/broken? What's the best way to check? Thanks!

Re: Sunroof lifter broken?
There's only one electric motor that does everything. You probably have either a lubrication problem, dirt/rust jamming something, or something worn out.
You will have to take off the roof lining, to then be able to see the mechanism and troubleshoot it, and eventually take it off the car, if needed.
Let's say the sunroof system on the mx-3 was not Mazda's brightest idea...

Alright, I'll have a look/clean it up as best I can. Thanks!Inodoro Pereyra wrote:There's only one electric motor that does everything. You probably have either a lubrication problem, dirt/rust jamming something, or something worn out.

Re: Sunroof lifter broken?
I've also had this problem in the past
The rubber was sticking to the roof a bit and i had to push the end of the sunroof up.
I replaced that rubber (also due to a car spray) but now it works fine.
