How bad is the rust? You never did post pictures of the rust that I could tell. The very corners of my frame rails are rotted out, but the rest of the rail is rust free. The car could be just fine as it is unless Maine has strict rust policies on safety inspections. :shrug:

lol Didnt need to. You have a rusty 4CYL. D you think thats too little? The price range sounds about right to me. There is clean rust free 4Cyl´s out here in cali that go for 1000-1500 and cars out here are normally over priced. On the east coast getting that much would be luck. I say just keep it and drive it until it rusts away if the motor and trans are mint

Markets too small, a grand would probably be higher then what I'd expect it to go for.

He has it listed on craigslist for 800, so I guess he thinks you guys are asking too much. :P

Yah Savin was right. And no it wouldn't pass inspection, besides the frame rail the control arms, and the springs are bad too.

So if my car has a new style dash in near perfect condition, how much would that be worth?

Not much unless it was an airbag-less dash pad. You'd have to have had it brought over from Canada if that were the case.
