sweet i read all the time that "oh i ditched my car because of rust"

i mean unless the entire floor is gone there is nothing that sheet metal cant fix plus the price of buying another car would be about the same as fixing horrible rust that spread all over a car

Wheels/tires, engine/trans, interior that is in excellent condition, floormats(if you have them), steering wheel/shift knob, seats(if not ripped at all), power window motors on both sides, and if you are lucky enough to have a double stack center console, hatch cargo cover, or other rare items, PULL THEM.

Beyond that, try to find a clean shell before you scrap it, so you can swap over the best of the two cars, and make one even better one. Don't swap rust, car cancer is contagious.

Ok thanks, the only problem is I live in Maine and I don't think there is a big market for them here. Are there maybe other vehicles some of these parts might fit?

If it is a 4cyl I think for escorts could use some parts, try to sell some on here as well :)

I am always down for getting stuff on the cheap, so are other people.

I am less knolagable about these things, I know people use parts from probes but I don't think people use parts from the mx-3 to the probes... At least that is what it seems...

We don't know the year or the trim but I'm gonna hazard a guess that it's a 94-96 RS model. Which means the engine is MX3 only, wth a variant that can go in a miata so theres that.

Trans can mate to older four banger MX3s, 323s and proteges, those of which come with the B6 and BP. I believe the Ford Escort GT with the BP also can be mated to that transmission.

Everything is else is MX3 specific.

Wheels/Tires, center console, shift knob, steering wheel, and many other parts have crossover.

The center console will work in a 323, and I believe some Proteges, but don't quote me on the Protege.

Struts can be used with Probe suspension if a spacer is used to widen the point that mates the spindle(hub carrier assembly, if you will) to the strut.

Seats can be used in other Mazdas as well...

If you are super patient, and it's a 94+ car, then you could pull the entire dash and sell it to a member here for a hefty sum.

Ah I forgot, the struts/springs/mounts will fit 323s and proteges as well.

So if my car is a base 1994 4cyl with a good motor, and transmission, and good glass, fair seats, and a very nice 1994+ style dash, what ballpark should I be asking for it as a whole?
