I love the lip idea, but am not feeling the GT style hood vents. I don't think it would flow with the car. Otherwise, good as always. :2thumbsup:

Re: kulluminati777's MX3 raced round the world

Post by kulluminati777 »

So i have been REALLY busy with school lately and haven't been able to mod or repair my car like a have been wanting to. I STILL have to fix the leak on my oil cooler but i do have the gasket and im going to the Pick and pull tomorrow to get a cooler from another KL on the lot BUUUUT i have reason to believe there is another leak. We will see once i patch up the one I know of.

I am also a little bent out of shape because i cant fit my mazdaspeed strut bar on the car. I know what your going to say "put it on nuts and washers like this guy or that guy" wont work for me. The Ksport studs are too short and the bar has to be pretty high to clear the millenia manifold and to make matters worst i have outlaw manifold spacers that makes the manifold even HIGHER. I may do a few things to remedy this though. The first is ditch the outlaws (which i dont want to do) or second look for longer strut studs (im sure impossible) or three relocate the battery and use the flatter ZE manifold. Any other ideas would be appreciated

I'm still waiting for one more final extra special piece to come in the mail to reveal my new front end make over so stay tuned for that  .....

I have also squashed the GT500 vent in the hood idea. The more i saw it the less i was diggin it. The same with the lip on a MS front bumper the more i had seen it the less i liked it. HOPEFULLY diezzel gets on these forums writes me back and sends me the CF hood we traded for. I mean its sad. I sent him his huge heavy parts AND paid for shipping (from cali to canada) and it wasnt cheap. I mean come on im even paying to ship this hood here so whats the problem? I haven't heard from the guy in months and have officially given up on getting it but you never know maybe he will man up and send me whats mine. Sorry for the mini rant im just real bent out of shape over the whole thing....

Some good news with the car is that i FINALLY put my BBK on. I had time today and decided to bolt everything up and drive around town.

18.2 lbs for the new  :2thumbsup:

18.8lbs for the old

If you decide to part with that strut bar, man, I would love dibbs on a piece that fine... Every time they pop up, I miss the boat by mere moments! :(

The brakes look good, and I believe the entire setup is barely heavier than my Speed6 rotors alone LOL. Definitely looks good under those wheels, too!

That was before the Outlaw Engineering thermospacers... The bar will fit with the stock k-sport studs but you'd get a pretty nice gash in it with any movement from the engine. Arnold and I have been chatting and he's going to look into getting longer studs. It's like almost 2 nuts of spacers you need on the studs to get it to clear! And then if you have the coveted CF hood I have you will be cutting heavily into the under portions to get it to clear... :crying: :?

Yes I agree Mark.
You don't want to cut in your car's hood or get those longer studs.
Just give them to me.... I'll pay for shipping, no biggie
