whats a good ecu performance chip for a KLZE in am mx3 96?

finally got my car running and it doesnt run good with the K8 ecu, what is a good plug and play chip for performance and fuell efficiency ? THANKS GUYS

96 is OBDII, so you can't chip it. The solution that works best is to use a KL02 VAF with the K8 ECU, since the OBDII systems seems to be smart enough to compensate for it.

I believe the kln8 ecu is for obd2 klze. Appears on ebay here n there.

You can also look into the stratified auto plug n play ecu's...they are a little pricey but if you can tune the car yourself or know somebody/a shop who can, they seem to be worth it

As already stated simply use a KL02 VAF from any probe or MX6/626 and your engine will run great. Make sure you check the TPS and idle settings to ensure they're right on.

what do you mean idle settings? is there a legit setting? because ive been messing with the tps position and my air flow

The idle screw on the top of your TB should be checked. Use a RPM gauge, not the one in your dash. In diagnostics mode (TEN and gnd jumped) screw that screw in until your engine starts to stall then back out until your at 650 rpm. Remove the jumper from your diagnostics box and your rpm should rise to 700rpm as required. For TPS adjustment use the Search function here, this has been posted many times. TPS adjustment should take you at least 20 mins, don't short cut this process.
