UTI Alumni

Post by kulluminati777 »

Im leaving the military after 7.5 LOOOOOOONG years of service and im going to Universal Technical Institute for 3 years. 1st year will be collision repair and paint refinishing. The 2nd year will be the automotive technician course and the 3rd will be specialty training for either Porsche or another brand (I wish they had mazda SO bad lol)

My question is anyone know a guy who knows a guy or have been to the school themselves? Did you enjoy the school? What are you doing after? Is it in the automotive field?

I did 2 years in auto body at local community college.
As long as you can get a decent paying job after you're done that's all that matters. Not many shops want to hire a guy straight out of school.

If your going because you enjoy the work great but if it's for the money I'd have to say, make another selection. From what I know with the environmental laws it's getting really pricey now to paint a car. Minimum price in Canada is around $2500 and that's with absofuckinglutly no body work. Most people won't pay that. Anyway don't mean to be an a-- just wanted to add to the thread.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
