Mystery plug

Post by MrGoodbytes »

So my brothers MX-3 had an electrical short to one of the relays and it burnt up some wires. He messed with it for a few days and had all of the electrical components by the pedals completely torn apart before he asked me to take over. I replaced the damaged wires and put just about everything back together but I ran into a problem.

There is a plug and I have no idea where it goes. The plug has room for 8 pins but only six of them are being used. I have searched for hours in the car and online to see where I goes and I have found nothing. Any ideas where it goes would be greatly appreciated.

You need to post a picture or at least describe the location of the plug...something.

Its on the drivers side, to the left of the clutch pedal and to the right of the fuse box. The plug itself is white and there are six wires going to it but there is room for eight pins. the wires that go to it branch off the main bundle of wires as the wires going to the relays.

The mirror adjustment works just fine. The only thing that doesn't work are the headlights.

It seems to me that it would be for a relay. It's in the same area and its the wires are the same length and its very similar to the plug for the flasher. But as far as I can tell, all the relays are connected it won't reach very far.
