KLDE AND ENGINE STAND DONT MIX
ok so yesterday i attempted installing my and found that i couldnt source bolts to mount the motor to the actual stand.
the white bracket in the picture is the issue... the sleeve the bolts go thru into the block require and 85-90mm long bolt. i thought i found something suitable but realized quick the thread pitch was wrong. so i shaved the sleeves down a bit but still no luck in finding a bolt, went to home depot, rona, canadian tire, brafasco and still no luck.
I believe the bolt is a m12x1.5 and it'll need to be at least 85mm long(about 3.3 inches long)

I had to go to a fastener supply place for the same reason. I don't remember the pitch but they have it. Those places have bolts you never thought existed.

i figured i'd be fine going in to brafasco but apparently thats a bolt that they can not get.

I'm confused as to why I have a KL in my garage mounted to one of these?

BISHOP HAD THE SAME PROB THAT I DID. I ENDED UP SHAVING DOWN THE SLEEVE SO I CAN HAVE MORE WIGGLE ROOM WITH BOLT LENGTH'S.....NOW I'M HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THE RIGHT THREAD PITCH(M12X1.50 BY WHATEVER LENGTH).

It's m12x1.25x whatever you would like.
I personally used m12x1.25 in a 2.5" length.
Maybe it was 2.25? Either should work, especially if you've already cut your stand somewhat.

I got bolts from a local hardware store...Also, some of the misc. bolts on the car will fit! (long suspension ones I believe)

Why didnt you use tha transmission bolt? Thats what i did and it worked good

Extra engine was my reason... but I found the bolts after checking 2-3 places.
