Re: [FS] craigslist Colt Cams
If someone on this board can check them out in person, and ship them reasonably, I'd consider these...

Re: [FS] craigslist Colt Cams
Sounds like a decent deal to me, I wonder why he didn't ebay or probetalk it?

Re: [FS] craigslist Colt Cams
Idk why he didn't put them on eBay, but my guess for PT would be low-ballers.
People there expect to sell used parts for a profit, and I've seen multiple people try to flip items from other members... makes me sick.

You would think that he'd want to rid them fast but without a picture, you just can't tell if they are true colts or not.

Re: [FS] craigslist Colt Cams
If my memory serves me- the colt cams should have the grind numbers etched in the cam.
We all want to be fast and look cool. Cool changes but fast never does.
Re: [FS] craigslist Colt Cams
Price looks right just make sure that's the grind your after.
Correct me if I'm wrong but is 200 jspec and these are of course 210. I think the bulk buy price was $350 or something normal they're in the $400 dollar range.

Re: [FS] craigslist Colt Cams
like i said before i can buy them and ship if anyone is interested. i however dont know anything about cams or colt cams and wouldnt be able to tell much from them. other then obivious damage or model numbers/engravings. i make no guarantee to whether these work or what kind of performance gain theyd offer (if any).
that being said ive received a pm from a member who is interested and im emailing the guy to get more information.

bring a caliper with you.
Whoever wants to buy them can explain to you how to check the lift, and also check the bearing diameter.

Re: [FS] craigslist Colt Cams
Yeah, colt cams aren't cheap. $200 is a steal, that's why I just don't understand why he didn't try to sell it on probetalk or ebay? It costs like $275 just to have them grinded I believe when they did a bulk buy just recently, plus you had to ship in your stock cams or a set before they did the grind.

Re: [FS] craigslist Colt Cams
It's actually ~$360 for the 210 degree grind. You always ship a core to Colt, if memory serves. It's a steal, which I can no longer afford... :'(

Re: [FS] craigslist Colt Cams
Yes you are correct, just thought I'd throw something cheaper up since I couldn't remember off the top of my head. It's a stealer deal.

Re: [FS] craigslist Colt Cams
for now they are more or less sold. a member on the forum has agreed to buy them. were just waiting a few days until he gets paid to transfer the money to me. for what its worth seller wont go below $250. its possible he doesnt want to deal with shipping which is why hes not going with ebay or probe talk. they were only used for 10-15000km aparently.
