[WTB] Switches & harness for heated seats

Post by davmac »

Long shot, but I'm looking for working switches and harness for Canadian issue SE heated leather seats. Also interested in wiring diagram. Though these look to be pretty simple single heat setting on/off a wiring diagram would confirm. Thanks, Dave

Ill tell you how to plug the switches (really simple)and you only need the switches. Which you can get for 100$ in a mazda dealer.

Do you have the part number for the switches?
I have OEM switches but they are unusable. I'll probably end up wiring in an LED illuminated rocker switch, but OEM would be preferred.

The switches have pretty much disintegrated. I suspect the seats were a lucky yard find and I provided the seller a tidy profit. The leather is in good shape. I think with a little effort the seats will be very nice. I still need to test the heater elements but will need to run power directly to the heater elements because switches are in poor shape. When I popped the switches from the center console they fell apart in my hands.

If the heater elements are good I'm sure I can wire in some suitable toggle switches and even have some ideas for reusing the switch housing and backlighting the switches. That's the cheap and time consuming route. The expensive but easy route would be to buy OEM switches from a dealer. Problem: I haven't been able to find switches on US Mazda parts dealer sites but maybe if I had part number they could be ordered.

Yeah - it is a long shot.
