The factory SS door sills in my car have a plastic backing so the metal edge dosen't dig into the paint. I'd advise using something under them. As far as the welding goes make sure you take them to a professional shop and tell them these are expensive and rare items so please don't give them to the new trainee.

The lettering is alot larger on these compared to the so called taxi cab ones.

Ummm the "taxi cab" ones are the same as the non "taxi cab" ones. The Eunos ones you see without the taxi cab stickers have just had them removed... For a true OEM look you would want the taxi cab stickers on them

I have the "taxi cab" ones . The lettering is alot smaller on them . Do not ask me ?? You would think they would be the same .
