have questions..

Post by stangant »

Now this list may.. no... will grow as I come across things that I am confused in.

About the seat belts.. what can I do to get rid of them, I absolutely hate the automatic portion of them. To add to the hatred the auto portion is broken and beeps and flashes all the time. I have a set of race harness's but not sure the best way to put them in.

The seats, they are nice but I like leather and the driver seat is somewhat broken. Can I fit mx-5 seat in this car.. the ones with the headrest speakers would be cool.

The center console... not a fan of its design but the mx-5 looks similar and has a better layout. will this fit?

Were in the world can I find the trunk cover!!!?? The seem more rare then anything.

exhaust, i really want dual exhaust to come out on both sides of the vehicle is there a place to buy this or do I have to go custom?

The headlights, Not a fan but I have seen a few members on this website that have inset projector style lights. What are those and how do I go about getting them?

There are a few body parts that I would like to find.

Eunos Presso OEM Front Bumper And Front Spoiler (with fog lights)
Upper Window Spoiler
Mazda OEM Rear Mud Guards
Mazda OEM Rear Spoiler, wrap around (1994-1996 GS, from Canada Only)
Window rain guards
Mazdaspeed Side flares (CS replica)

Here are some of the interior parts I would like to find.
UK euro vents (purchased)
light up center switch from Germany (purchased)
Eunos Steering Wheel
Fog Light Switch and Wiring
Stationary seat belts (very important if find these soon)

Help is much appreciated...

1 the belts, either go to your local dealer and get them fixed at your dealer for free under lifetime recall (theres a notice on the left side of the mx-3.com site where you can print it). Or get interior panels and belts from our friends up north in canada and install the factory fixed position ones.

2 no idea on the console.

3. GL with finding a rear cover intact, hard to find is right

4 No such thing as dual exhuast unless you go custom, I have a pacesetter system and have been pretty happy with it minus the rust from NY salt.

5 Projectors are available but be warned they are cheaply made. I will always recommend JDM glass lamps for better lighting and you can run 100w bulbs in them as well that work just as good as hids and are legal. (check my WL if you want pics.) I have run projectors and hated them.

GL with your mx, its a nice stock looking ride that looks great!

Also, IIRC, if you want dual exhaust, you have to cut part of the spare wheel well... :(

I do not agree. Sure glass is stronger and will never yellow. That's about it. Boring, outdated look. The good DOT projectors are great.

Dont forget they have leveling motors and you can smoke the insides as well.

Not really. That's all personal opinion. I find the projectors look out of place on the Mx-3.

I don't like the "halo" part of the projectors.... Just wish they would make a basic version.

mikeetown: If only you were closer I would be all over that. I fear shipping will be nightmarish and I think I can just reproduce my own version.

They are superior to the stock lights in terms of lighting the road, especially at night, or does form over
function for a basic safety item take precedence?

There's the kicker. It is personal. Personally, I like the better beam width and look. It's like giving your mom a makeover... no more droopy/foggy eyes and face.

tried that, a simple yes or no would suffice. It also gets my post a little back on topic, yes.

which canadian spoiler are you talking about? the gs wrap around or the rs raised one? if its the wrap around ill probably have a silver one for sale in the near future...

as for finding a jdm bumper good luck. they are quite rare in north america. not that you cant find one but shipping will probably change your mind. jdm lip is also extremely expensive. perhaps you would like the corksport mazdaspeed replica bumper http://www.corksport.com/corksport-mazd ... umper.html its fairly cheap and looks great.
