The only user-caused reason for no reverse that I know of, is forgetting the washer behind the reverse switch.

Aside from that, you just have super shitty 1st gear syncros. Try clutching all the way in, put it in third, and then try reverse. That works 90% of the time for me.

No 4k+ rev can be literally anything. Control, ignition, fuel, or air. Hard to say where to start on that one, I guess diagnostic codes.

Woe thar, who authorized a BP swap. If your going to participate here at least give us the illusion that our advise means some thing to you. Now. I advise you pull that crappy motor and go with a BP swap. More power and better bragging rights. :D Clean that car up and please, no aluminum big azz spoilers on the back. Stock is great, Mazda Speed even better, JDM rocks and any other Mazda parts. We will tolerate some aftermarket crap but be warned, if you go to far and buy some sheety E bay body kit prepared to get flamed big time. Other than that, welcome.
2004 Subaru WRX Silver, stage 2, minty interior.
2002 Subaru WRX Blue, SOLD (best E test numbers I've ever seen)
94 MX-6. Sold
92 GS KLZE 5 Speed
96 GS 5 speed, KLZE, Sold
95 GS Minty Shape Sold
92 GS Sold
92 GS Parts Car scrapped.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
