 I'd have less of a problem if you put it in context, you make ME look like a "Closet Honda lover", as Dan would put it

For real though, the level of misinformation crawling around PT is astonishing, even compared to other automotive sites. I find Honduh forums more helpful, typically more pleasant too. Don't quote me on that though, I'll deny it to the grave.
You should really edit this post. Say what you want to say but, alot of there cars will spank our cars. They have done more research than this forum and are bigger in size

Mechanical, 2 years left.

Its because PT is bigger that it sucks more. Yes, they have more, sometimes more valuable info, but you have to sort through tonnes more BS to find it.

They have an intelligent to idiot member ratio of about 1:100.

We have more like 1:10.

Although I commend your efforts, trying to dispel myths on Probe Talk or any other forum would be mission impossible.

I think it is up to the individual to sift through the B.S to get to the truth. I admit it would be nice if the forums were 100% content correct. We should devise a system to get goofs voted off the island or have a kiddy table sub-forum.

My personal favorites from this site were defending Pascals law as it pertains to a closed hydraulic systems, and how my foot was somehow going to end up under my seat to accidentally adjust my adjustable brake proportioning valve

Money buys speed, I'll give you that one. Editing though... Not gonna happen. They've had about 20 members put in genuine effort and ingenuity, and then a few thousand throw money at performance shops. Oh, and there are maybe 10 NA probes that go beyond bolt-on performance. FI is a different ballgame, anybody can make power with FI. Honduhs make Probes look like a gutless pile if they're built properly, should we all drive Honduhs then? Wait, they have a larger pool of people putting in money and effort too, don't they? A pattern emerges...

The saddest part, is that many of the "1" post less than 50 times a year. It's amazing that some people treat forums like a social networking site. I love MX-3.com... You can get straight answers without having to watch middle aged men chest beat behind their keyboard. It's a wonderful feeling, being able to ask questions without fearing that "omgz yer a noob my car > yours" crap.

Sorry for semi hijacking and going off on a tangent... I'll just end it with a simple "I agree."

I know I'm late to the party but I feel like I need to say this...

The first reply on probe talk said something about something being gayer then 9 dudes f***ing 8 guys.......What the hell? What kind of way is that to make a point? I didn't read through all of the posts but it seemed like no one over there seemed to care about what he said either.

No, just middle aged guys with a grade 12 are connecting A and B without being able to justify it, but don't care either. Just stuck in their ways. Or maybe I'm crazy. Or both. KLZEPORSCHE is very likely the most intelligent guy on that board though.
