Weird power....
Hey, I have swapped my ze into my new body, a 93 manual. Anyways when I pulled it from my old car and put into my new one the knock sensor died. I swapped it out with another used one but apparently that one is also bad since it is still throwing a code. I have the stock k8 ecu hooked up as well as tried the kl36 ecu. I am also getting codes 5, 8, 10, 16. I put a different vaf in and the other code does not bother me. Anyways for the problem is that when I hit 3500-4000rpm the car starts bobbling and kind of feels like hitting a rev limiter. Would this be the knock sensor retarding the motor? I have never had one go bad before in the last 30some mx-3's I have owned. If anyone had a idea that would be great. Thanks.

I know what you mean, and yeah, thats knock sensor.
Check your ignition timing. Mine did that when I was running 20º advanced...

Just noticed the last couple of mornings it is really bad, it bobbles/cuts in and out allot and around 1500rpm. Now this is after sitting all night with the temp being around 10 above. After sitting all day in the sun for the same amount of time and it being about 25 above the car runs allot better and will only bobble around 3500rpm and only a little bit. Any other ideas?

still sounds like a vaf to me. You could do the basics, check spark, check vacuum/leaks, o2 sensors, but if it's bobbing sounds like a vaf.
