 :dunno:

I would look into that one a little more

1/16 HP to turn that pulley.

Plus whatever weight reduction.

it has been dyno proven many times. Although it may only take 1/16th hp to turn with your hand. The extra drag from a belt w/ tension is a lot on the crank. on average varying motor to motor one can see 5 ponies at the wheels from eliminating the AC pulley, besides you are cutting like 18lbs of dead weigh if you remove the system altogether.

Now the real question is will you notice the 5HP increase... most wont. but if your racing or auto X'ing then its probably worth it. any drag you can take off the crank is a bonus, thats why you only see electric cooling fans in cars and not direct mount or clutch type. some newer sports cars are even going to electronic power steering, water pump, and oil pump. because every little bit counts and increases hp and performance.

if you dyno the car with the AC on you can see drops of 15-25 whp... thats a lot for a 125hp motor

It doesn't really matter, either one. I would just stick with the MX one.

hey NLP303 i was wanting to know if u even fixed the changing light on your dash and does it ever kill your battery. I got mine running and it does the same as yours. If it keeps your battery changed then its not really that big of a deal because yourr mx3 is only my toy summer car.
