Any high quality 2.5 Clutch will meet your needs, just be sure to have the flywheel machined out properly for the larger diameter Clutch

so is it that a clutch for an mx-6 is a better grab due to more hp so seeing as my mx-3 is less hp it would grab better than stock? I found the stock clutch for the gs to drop too many rpms while driving hard. I liked how the act grabbed while driving hard just too heavy for daily driving? so mx-6 is the way to go ?? i just want to be sure cause the act clutch was nothing but problems. i want to be sure before waisting more money . :D

The mx-6 and probe clutchs grab better due to the fact that they are about .5-1" bigger in diameter resulting in more surface area and more grip than the 1.8l clutch. Thats also why its important to machine your mx3 flywheel if you plan on using the 2.5 clutch, as theres about an extra .5" of surface that is still rough metal from the factory that would tear up the new clutch. Otherwise everything will bolt up just fine and save you some weight vs. using a probe flywheel.

when i installed my mx6 exedy i didnt do anything special to the flywheel. i had it machined flat then put the new clutch on. some people say you need to modify the flywheel but its worked fine on my car for over a year since it was installed. probably couldnt hurt to bring the clutch and flywheel to a machine shop and ask them if it needs any special work thow.

you can get a exedy clutch on ebay for around $100...

I bought a stage 3 XTD racing clutch off of ebay for a 2.5L mx-6, I brought my flywheel to a machine shop and they charged me about 80 bucks to resurface it and machine it out to the full inside diameter. Once it was installed it grabbed great although I never used it long cause the motor lost the main bearings :( , I will be putting it on my new ZE tho. Good luck with your car!

The 2.5L clutches are only .25" bigger then ours, its a very small difference.
