Dan, that was ages ago. And my car doesn't need to be repainted, just some touch ups in a few spots which I will be doing myself.

Parts...
Unorthodox Racing Aluminum Underdrive Crank Pulley:
10.2mm spark plug wires:
Forged aluminum lugs and OBX extended studs:
Started wrapping my headers but didn't realize how much the overlapping took up so only had enough for the primaries... will finish the secondaries once they're on the car

Just a heads up with the headers, if they are the cheap ebay ones, they've been known to break at the welds when wrapped because of the increased heat.
And wow, sorry about the pun thing.

Hahah, I'll take my chances. It's not a track only car and I don't redline on a regular basis.
Re: _-Night-Shade-_ [ 1994 GS-R ] - Winter 2010/2011
How much wrap did the headers take? I plan to wrap mine but not sure how much I'll need to buy.

Nope, that part was directed at you. 40ft was not enough. I've got some left but it won't be enough to do the whole secondary piping. 60ft is a safe number.Daninski wrote:How much wrap did the headers take? I plan to wrap mine but not sure how much I'll need to buy.

OK. That wrap was part of the midnite madness sale for 'Performance in Motion' and I missed it, sheet.

Lol that's so insulting. My car has an aftermarket black with blue pearl paintjob, it's showroom style if not for the stone chips on the front bumper and the slight quarter pannel rust. I've got an HVLP gun and have access to a massive compressor. When I'm ready all the imperfections will be gone. And I don't trust anyone other than myself to work on my car.

New paint is a good idea for most older cars, especially out east. Just a valid suggestion

Re: _-Night-Shade-_ [ 1994 GS-R ] - Winter 2010/2011
Stock crank pulley vs. Unorthodox Racing crank pulley. The stock one weighs 4.8lbs and the Unorthodox is too light for my scale to pick up, definitely under 1lbs, so that's a few more pounds of rotating mass shaved off in addition to the flywheel.
OEM Block heater for the engine! I don't winter drive it but those early spring and late fall days still get pretty cold and cold engine wear sucks! =P
Took out the plug and got MERKED by coolant! Didn't realize there's still like 3L of coolant in the engine even after draining the rad!
Block heater installed.
The detachable cord.
Timing cover off...
Crank pulley installed and timing cover on

Igor two things.
1. Will both O2 sensors be located in the upper header pipes like in the factory manifolds?
2. I have an UDP like yours and I can't see the timing mark. Suggest you add a dab of paint on it so you can see it to set your timing.
3. How does the diameter of the alternator pulley compare to the stock one? I know at idle alternator output can at times be marginal.
PS I know how much you love questions.

K, the SS headers I have were modded to be compatible with OBDII MX-3s, that's why there's 4 O2 sensor bungs. I wanted to use both of the bottom ones because it would have a more even reading as opposed to the top ones which favour one cylinder a little bit more over the others. Unfortunately the guy who I got them from probably had some Bosch or other O2 sensors which are shorter in length because on one side my OEM Denso hits the crossmember, that's why I still have to use the top bung. And I dunno about you but my UDP has the timing mark.Daninski wrote:Igor two things.
