i would try taking the thermostat out then doing the flush also a good time to change it could be sticking so when it finally opens a little of the "stuff" comes out.

I would've done that but it seems as though the previous owner already did that for me since the coolant seems to flow even when its cold

Not sure yet I stuck the garden hose in heater hose tee and flushed for probably a half hour while warmed up and idling after changing the wp and theres still been the same grey milky goodness in there. I drained and filled the rad a few times before going on some long drives and the second time it seemed to look a little cleaner as the liquid was splashing on the ground. I DID run another compression test, and the results again were great; 175-180(forgot exact reading) on 5 cyl and about 165 on the rear middle cyl. No slow build up, no slow drop. So I'm thinking that either there was oil added to the rad at some point, or this is a new(ish) engine(or head gaskets) replacing a blown original-wish they would've just dropped in a KL in that case-and this oil or whatever just wont come out completely. Maybe I'll try dishwasher detergent. Or Prestone flush, but that gets expensive if I have to keep buying it over and over.

KJ isnt that the supercharged miller cycle 2.3 milli engine? I'm probably not the one to ask on this search around to see if its ever been done. If it works it would be cool though.

The KJ will be a nightmare swap. That isn't a regular engine in any way shape or form. Custom electrical out the wazoo. Also, keep in mind it only puts out the same as a lightly bolted ZE.
Now with Moderator power!

Black '93 BP RS - wrecked, parted, scrapped.
Green GS - Sold.
Black GS - Summer DD/Race car - Fancy KLZE
Red GS - K8-ATX -> MTX-KLDE - Frakencar. Scrapped
White GS - Rusty. Parts. Scrapped
1997 BMW M3 - my summer baby
2002 BMW 325Xi - sold
2003 Forester Xti - EJ20K swapped.

Thats what I would figure. Unless maybe you get a donor Milli, but even then your in uncharted waters and probably go through alot of trouble.

Well I guess you could always try if you have that much confidence in your self! I hope it turns out well if you go for it. Make sure you document it well for all the forum naysayers. Should be an interesting write up.
