Where I am and where should I start? -picture heavy-

Post by racycle »

So I am finaly back to a computer. I was wonder where dose everyone thing I should start in my process of restoreing this wonderful car. I already have a list I will post for some CC of some parts for my own little touch.

I don't know if you all remember seeing this pictures but here is how she was when I got her for only $250.

Not having a job at the moment or any money for that matter , surely this process is going to start off slow. Finding another mx-3 where I live is like trying to find a needle in a coal mine. I went to the picNpull about 3hours away to find another. =O I grabed all i could for the ammount of money i had on me. I replaced the throtle body, seat belts, half the the back seats and alot of plastic odds and ins that were missing. After that i went to walmart, Grabed some rattle cans, primer, and clear coat. Here is how She looks right now.

Replaced the headliner the best I could. Still droops down by the hatch, I gota figure out a way to fix that. :/

All the piastic I repainted and put in.

I also tryed my best to sue some white fabric over the backrest part of the back seat to match the back pannels.

As for my little wish list, What do you guys think about thies few things.

-headlights-
If I can get my hands on a pair of the glass ones, awesome but if not then thies.

-taillights-
Not sure why but thies are just apealing to me.

-Seats-
My current seats are in pritty bad shape plus thies will help match the color theme.

-Stearing wheel-
The stock stearing wheel's material kind of moves around when I use it and it just bugs me.

-hud adapter-
Just something I like lol.

So Where should I go from here? What would be some productive projects I could do that wount require me to go out and spend alot of money I don't have? Once I get the money I will start looking for a passanger door, passanger front fender, carpet, and the bottom half of the back seats. I found a rescorse for a KL-ZE stright neck, but that will come when money is right.

Ebay has some pretty cheap steering wheels like the picture you posted. If the underside of the car isn't rusted out your gold. Anything else can be fixed easily.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
