This is worth the look. Im not sure if hes still working on it but I definatly think it will be one interesting build, hes putting a gm supercharged 3.8 into the back of an mx-3

A guy in Austria...quite a while back...put a second engine into the back of an AudiTT, turbocharged them both, and had about 1000hp total. I started thinking abou tit then and have worked out in my head most of the details of how I would do this.
If you did it properly and paid attention to the physics it would not be much different than carrying a heavy load of groceries. Yes it would affect handling but not necessarily destroy it.
I would do a much more careful and clean job than this guy, but it is a very interesting idea. When I'm ridiculously rich I plan to build a twin ZE MX-3.

My Dad's Four door Grand Prix GTP has that motor in it. That cars gonna go like hell. seems like alot of work for a car that drives like s--- in the winter once he makes it Rear Wheel Drive. I hope he doesn't do that. Mind you I didn't look if its in a place with no snow then it would be fine
