Re: Lemons MX3 Build
tell them to go back and pick up that SE GS front lip.
Did some checking up on the build. Please tell me I am wrong... but are those dropzone springs? I'd expect a Lemons car to have one helluva suspension... a non progressive spring rate makes me a sad panda.

Saddest thing is that FD sitting in the background. I need a glovebox and I'm sure that car has one.

Re: Lemons MX3 Build
looks like someone is missing the point. As per the topic, the car does not belong to the OP.
And as stated before... check out the link. I would think a Lemons car would have a decent set of springs.

Re: Lemons MX3 Build
Nice work! Which race is this going to be entered in? Our KLZE will be racing at CMP this weekend for LeMons South Fall. I think the mx3 has a lot of potential but they don't have a great history at lemons. Good luck!

Re: Lemons MX3 Build
Hello all,
I am the perpetrator of this build . Paul (cout) informed me of this thread at this weekend's LeMons race, so I figured I'd look for it. I've been a lurker here for a bit, but never registered. I've been a bit of a BG chassis nerd for quite some time. The MX3 is nearly identical chassis-wise but I beleived I could get the car lighter than an Escort GT or Protege. Plus, this car more or less just fell into my lap.
In short, we competed at CMP in Kershaw, SC and the car performed amazingly this weekend. We took 6th place only one lap behind 5th, 3 behind 4th, and something like 27 laps behind 1st. We dug ourselves into a hole Saturday with slow pit times and a black flag didn't help us either on Sunday. We set, and continued to set the fastest lap times up until the last hour or two of the race. Again, I couldn't be happier with the car and will continue to develop and improve it for LeMons.
Paul, it was nice sharing a paddock spot with you and your team this weekend. Hope to see you at the next!
