Sticky accelerator
Sticky accelerator
Not all the time but most the time it seems like the throttle body is getting stuck and jumps hard when I accelerate its backed off with idle stop screw to spec.. Do you think its the actual throttle cable or the linkage on the throttle body. Thanks

Re: Sticky accelerator
Most times, is either lack of lubrication in the throttle cable, or grime in the throttle body, around the butterfly valve. Try a couple of shots of WD-40 down the throttle cable. If that solves it, use a more permanent lube. If it doesn't, time to do a throttle body cleanup.

Re: Sticky accelerator
Mine does this too and I sprayed a brake cleaner on/around the spring on the TB, this cleared it up for a few months.
Make sure the engine is off and isn't hot, just as a precaution.

It's like it only happen intermittently, Its just not sensitive and hard to launch. I Sprayed JB80 down the cable. I was thinking it might be the tension on the actual cam on the throttle body... Are your guy's throttle cams loaded with A lot of tension. Thanks.
