Magnum Front bumper questions
Okay so after someone hit my car a few months ago a shop ordered the magnum front bumper for me (pic at the bottom). There is a few questions I have, first off the shop told me the bumper does not fit over the reinforcement so they suggested modifying mine or making a new one out of metal. The shop however cannot legally do this so it is up to me. Has anyone done this and have a work log or some tips for me? AS far as i know there is a euro reinforcement and a usdm reinforcement does the bumper fit normally over the euro one? Next question, do the stock turn signals and fog lights fit in this bumper or is there a pair i need to buy specifically? If so any measurements / recomendations on a brand would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Magnum Front bumper questions
Stock headlights work fine.
Turn signals look the same as stock judging by the picture.
I Don't know about the foglights since USDM MX-3's didn't come factory with them.
As for the reinforcement, it almost looks like you have to completely remove it or cut out the middle of it, as the opening to the bumper is right where the reinforcement goes.

Re: Magnum Front bumper questions
removing the reinforcement all together is not really an option as it is really a safety risk. Someone i know said they could try and help me make one out of metal that would allow the bumper to fit over... I didn't realise that none of the us ones came with fogs, any idea what ones I could buy as a substitute?

but it's soooo ugly. after you get it to legally fit, don't forget the gills. Fogs might be in our for sale section or on ebay.

I really don't like it either, but it was the only bumper still available, the bumper that was on my car is discontinued. So I had to settle for that one, I'm thinkin i might just mesh up the holes, I think i might be selling the car anyhow.

it was http://www.fxdesigns.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but they may have closed shop. Other than that, Oscar (ez_4_fun) can get you kits from pakfeifer.

Re: Magnum Front bumper questions
Although getting my original bumper is an ideal situation, this magnum one has already been glassed, mocked up and painted so i really just need to continue on with this one...... So my original questions about making a front bumper reinforcement holds. Thanks for trying to find me the invader one though!

Re: Magnum Front bumper questions
So I'm trying to resurrect this thread from the dead a little.
So I managed to fab up a bumper support equally as strong if not stronger than the stock one that this bumper will fit on top of.
My question is how you guys secure your kits to the car. More I'm portantly how you secure the ends of the bumper to the wheel well... No matter what I do with nuts and bolts I simply cannot get it snug because I can barily get my hand up there. Has anyone secured their bumper with trim clips?
My next question is how to solve the problem with the huuugee gap between my bumper and the bottom of the head lights. How have any of you solved that?
Any other advice pertaining to bumper installs would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Magnum Front bumper questions
stock mounting points should work fine. I believe some people use a weather stripping for the light gaps.
