Cabin Filter

Post by money_greenmx3 »

How would you go about changing the cabin filter because the air always blows debris inside the car.

There isn't one.

I've debating installing one, though. Gravel is terrible :( so are leaf chunks hitting your face when you're not expecting it.

Yep. Definitely no cabin filter. I've thought about putting one in too Ryan. Those leaves when you turn on the vent air are definitely a PITA...

I was just thinking about this, too! We took every nut and bolt off of an RS, and no filter. Maybe one can be put inline, in the dash.

I'd put it right over the intake in the cowl

Are you serious? I never have any debris come in. You've gotta be driving through an industrial area or something, and even then I just change it to recirculate so nothing gets in :welder:

Nope. No industrial area. Not sure about where you live, but trees are quite abundant here.

Haha in autumn in the AM when I start the car and turn on the heater.. Fail. Stupid lil peices flying out of the vents. If you ever park under a tree that sheds you would know

The best is in winter when you leave the vent open to defog the windows and the next morning you start the car and get out to brush the snow off and it all gets sucked into the vent and blown all through the car. Then you get back in and the dash is covered in snow.

I love that.

Not only does the dash get covered in snow, the cold windshield collects the hydrated air (as the snow blows through the heater core)

I think its time for someone to get a cabin filter system going.
