Hi all, I need a bit of advice, having only owned my MX-3 since 28th April 10.
The car accelerates extreemly quickly, just a light touch and the engine goes from idle to 2000 rpm.
As the car is automatic, it makes for a really harsh drive (I've not hit anything yet).
If I turn the pulley wheel on the throttle body, I only have to turn it slightly off the throttle stop position and the engine is racing.
I wondered if it could be the throttle sensor but would like your advice. The malfunction light is not lit.
Car is 1997 but has only had one elderly owner and 35miles from new with service history.
Thanks in advance,
Keith

Sir, thats just how she's built.
You want it to rev slower, you'll need something like a heavier flywheel.
Maybe try heavier wheels? 17" or 18"
