Have a G25M-R loose? I have a question for you!

Post by tehbrookzorz »

Hopefully somebody can check this, because my searching has not been successful and I don't have a G25M-R loose.

I need to know the depth at the base of the shaft where the throwout bearing rides, how deep the shaft spines start, and how far from the bellhousing opening to the tip of the shaft. Spline count and shaft diameters would also be beneficial.

Terrible picture of what I'm after...

Top measurement 10mm
Middle measurement 70mm
Bottom measurement 120mm bottom is to lowest lip, not case as its uneven

tip of the input shaft is 15.06mm diameter (vernier measured) which tapers out to 24.64mm
diameter at the 22 spline input shaft.

Haha, I was on a break at work when I posted and they didn't even have mspaint. I ended up making that on my iPhone and emailing it to myself.

Does this look right?

I should ask, what is the thickness of the clutch release bearing?

That's awesome! The feedback on this site is impressive. Bravo!

I have to further quiz:

What is the distance from the mounting face for the starter to the mouth of the transmission?

I got sold the wrong transmission so now I'm considering a method of mounting the W58 to the KL.

Still curious about the starter if anybody knows or can check.

Can somebody put a caliper on the engine/transmission mounting holes and give me diameter(s)?

I have no calipers at my house atm, but I'd say it's roughly 11mm(threaded) on the KL mounts, I don't have a tranny sitting in my shop atm to check though.

Edit: If you mean for mounting to the bay, I've no clue.
