This is the email i got as a reply to my interest:

Hi, I Got a notification that you may be interested in the Mazda GS
(limited Fucia color).

I wondered if you would be willing to go "higher" on price as I just got new pipes and
exhaust put on, brand new front axels R&L (just cuz the boot was ripped,
nothing was really wrong with shaft themselves) and 2 rear tires replaced 3
days ago since I was going to drive it out to LA to visit my older brother.

Unfortunately I live in Bangkok, Thailand and only visit once a year.
Currently I am back in Chicago until this coming Saturday but if you are
interested to see it in person, I will leave car and information with my
younger brother who lives in Chicago, and I will park my car in his garage.

Please let me know and I can get him to contact you to arrange it when you
have the time.

Alternatively, on the other hand, if you can to come up within the next
couple days, I can meet you in St. Louis, MO. I will take the car down
there just to show that it runs just GREAT!! I do love this car!!

By the way, I bought it brand new in '93, never had anyone else drive it.
Body can use some work but all and all, it's still quite a car for me.

If she is willing to meet you in St. Louis to see the car I’d say that’s a pretty strong indicator in her favor. The problem is that she wants too much. $3750USD is premium money. If the exhaust needed to be done then that’s what you have to do to sell the car. If it needs tires and axels...those are maintenance items on a 17 year old car. For $3750 I would expect to see a car that is in nearly mint mechanical and exterior condition.

I don’t doubt that she is genuine, but like many women she is emotionally attached to the car and believes that because it is valuable to her, it is more valuable than it is. The blue book value of that car in your Zip code, with 180,000mi in excellent condition is $2005. That’s the bottom line.

I agree with Wytbishop... but the mileage is 80k, not 180k... even with that calculated, excellent condition is still only $2620

If you can meet her, look at the car and find it in excellent condition, and all the paperwork is legit, I'm sure you could give her $2,800ish cash. That would be a decent price, if the interior is good, and there are no major issues (rust & such).
If you have to go through her "brother", be SURE the paperwork is legit, and have the car looked at by a mechanic, and offer less. Have the mechanic look for signs of more than 80,000 miles of wear, in case it was rolled back, and maybe get a CarFax report. That is fishy. I looked at a truck with a friend, and it was the exact scenerio. They were Asian, but they looked more Chinese. I drove it, and it ran fine on the freeway, and everything. The girl called me a few weeks after buying it, and said the tranny went out.

Yeah. It sounds pretty lame.
I went to see an SE, after asking all the questions. I kinda wanted to at least push the kid down. He said it was in good shape. It had bad front end damage that was bent back into place just enough that it could drive. It leaked most fluids, and wa filthy. It had ropes, and junk holding it together. Everything that made it an SE was worthless. I asked him why he didn't tell me, and he didn't have an answer. I told him that the next guy might not be as nice as me. I felt bad for him, though. he was young and lost. I believe he really didn't know much, so I refered him to this site, and told him how to fix alot of it.
This car game has it's ups and downs! I've been doing it for 20 years, and it has been about even financially, between the great deals I've found, and the lemons I've bought, and the cars/ motorcycles/ Scooters/ RVs I've wrecked, or had stolen.
