reasons abound, here's the short list:

I got married had to buy all new furniture
I was off on disability for 5 months (limited income)
so in a very short time I accumulated a $20000 debt. I could consolodate and spend the next several years paying or I can sell off non-essencials and hammer down my debts in 1-2 years.
I make enough money that I can have another car very soon, but I can't allow my credit rating to turn sour.
Besides the RX-8 is a pretty cool yet practical car that I can see myself owning.
