Installed VW New Beetle type radio antenna

This forum is for discussion of topics relating to MX-3 lighting such as Headlights, Tail lights, Accessory Lights, Interior Lights, Etc. For example, Rear Euro Altezza Style Tail lights, Headlight units, LED's, HID's, Bulbs, Interior lights, Neons, Strobes, Auxillary Lights/Fogs or anything filament and gas discharge related.
Also anything dealing with the elctrical system.

I think it's the angle of it that is not right... I guess I was thinking you would replace the rear window nozzle with the antenna

agreed.... the angle is off, just doesn't follow the lines of the car.
Also, mooneggs has a good point about replacing the rear window nozzle, it would be more pleasing to the eye

It was not a style decision, I am a contract engineer for a local AM station and need good reception at all times. The stock antenna is junk.

I bet you could shave the base of it, so it lays down more, and alter (maybe shim) the mounting bolt underneath. It would look much better. I know you just need it to work, and are probably done with dealing with it, but that's my 2¢. It's well done, workmanshipwise, though.

Function over form! It would be vertical if I were to adjust angle. Physics does not care for looks!
