So im scrapping my car

Post by waspone »

Well, the depressing time has come that my destroyed underbody has ruined my car.
I took it into the shop for a leaking gas filler neck
And to check my brakes

Ends up I needed:

Both front tie rods
Both front ball joints
Both front axles
Both front wheel bearings
Gas Neck
Gas Tank
And full brake lines from front to back

And this is just taking a stab at all the s--- that is wrong with it.
I will likely be starting to part it out, although im looking into getting another MX-3 so..
Anyway, RIP my beautiful red GS baby.

Terrible news. May as well take off the worthwhile parts before you scrap her...

Will you be parting out? Because I need some things if they're in good condition.

doesn't sound like it would be too hard to fix. Of course you would need to posses some mechanical skills.

Even my locks are wacked, my key is bent beyond repair i would carry one for the door and a straight one for the ignition, my locks would bend a straight key before it would work...lmao

I need a bunch of brake hardware and the ebrake cables so far.

But it does suck having your car fall apart on you, mine's going through a rough time now too. Needs new rear hubs and the front suspension is making a ton of scary noises (clunks, rattles, scraping sounds and a sound that sounds like a deflated tire rubbing something, even though the wheels are tires are fine.

And Flyer, why do yo have to rub it in all the time? Man I don't pick on your car lol.

A squirt of WD-40 will probably fix the door lock, worked for me on two MX-3s.

Waspone: too bad you live so far away from me, or I would be buying the whole body from you. :crying:
I've been trying to get a GS for months now...those cars are getting quite rare... :(

As long as it's straight and the panels are not damaged, it'd be perfect. I'm not worried about the structure, as it'd be getting a tubular chassis.

Anyways...you live in Toronto, I live in Miami...ugh... :(
