Hi Guys.
I need some help as I am new to modifactions. After a recent NCT (National Road Car Test) in Ireland I found out the rear suspension was leaking and I was advised to replace the suspension to make my MX-3 a better and safer car. I could just change the back suspension but think it may just be better to replace the existing shocks with Coilovers.
Can anybody recommend the best on the market, price not being an option.
Kind regards.
Mike,

Re: MX3 Coil overs
I would look into the K-Sport (also sold under other names). I have not used them personally, but they seem like the next best (or maybe better) than the MazdaSpeed struts (not sold anymore) and the Ground Controll Coilovers with upgraded springs (what I do use). However, they come with adjustable camber plates and are a true one piece coilover. They are going to be really stiff in comparison to stock, so be ready to have some rattles in the car. If you use a low profile tire (short sidewall) it might even be uncomfortable. I don't know what Irish roads conditions are like, but potholes are going to feel more like gates to hell. If it is too harsh for you, you can maybe change the K-Sport camber plates for stock rubber camber plates (in stock form they are really called upper perches, but I used the same word to reduce confusion). This will really reduce the impact of bumps and potholes.
Or, for a more comfortable ride, but with some adjustable performance you can do the adjustable Koni inserts and Ground Controll coils. Howver, this option is not a bolt one and requires some modification. More info on the exacts ofthe Koni job can be found with a simple search of the site. There may even be a FAQ somewhere...
