Re: Mi|<e - 94 RS BPT
Those are Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs on KYB struts.
I did the rear brakes too so I don't have to revisit any rear work for quite some
time after this:

Re: Mi|<e - 94 RS BPT
Ive finally obtained the hardest piece to find for the project, a 28 spline kia
halfshaft.
![Image](http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r298/mikefoo/IMG_0483.jpg)
Now I can put the new transaxle, clutch, balljoints, front suspension and axles on
the car leaving me with the finish line in sight.

Re: Mi|<e - 94 RS BPT
So after trying to find information about the G series transmission, I came to the conclusion that there
is alot of info on how to dis/re assemble them. There isn't alot of info on how to reassemble the case. So
lets reassemble my case.
First thing to do is clean the mating surfaces and apply a nice thin layer of high temp silicon:
![Image](http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r298/mikefoo/IMG_0497.jpg)
Make sure the top of the reverse gear is pointing to the outside:
Your case had better have the tranny fluid 'transfer piece / black thing ' already bolted on before you
drop it down:
![Image](http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r298/mikefoo/IMG_0496.jpg)
Find the shift rods, they like to wobble so pinch them together while you drop the case down from above:
![Image](http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r298/mikefoo/IMG_0490.jpg)
Once the case is on these bolts are extemely important to get in before fiddling with anything:
(You may have to pull up on the longer shift rod sticking out of the top of the case to get
this to line up right)
![Image](http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r298/mikefoo/IMG_0498.jpg)
The only other side note is make sure those copper washers are on there! The rest
is fairly self explained:
![Image](http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r298/mikefoo/IMG_0499.jpg)

![Image](http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r298/mikefoo/IMG_0503.jpg)
And finally the reverse light sensor:
![Image](http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r298/mikefoo/IMG_0500.jpg)

Heres a picto-how-to for the 5th gear:
First pic is cleaning off old gasket material with a plastic scraper (guitar pick)
so the aluminum isnt damaged. Its soft stuff.

Today I did a bunch of subframe painting and removed the old balljoints
from my hubs.
I also refurbed the RX-7 injectors:

stopped short today because I injured my hand. Might get the tranny on
