What is the best color to paint a MX3? (no ricers)

Black is definitely a PITA, but when its clean its worth it.

I had 2 black cars and I found it annoying after some time to keep em clean coming from a dusty town.

Silver on the other hand is much easier to maintain. I have fallen in love with the color. However, rims and other colored pieces are limited to choose from as colors clash, almost anything goes with black.

Orange and blue have been very popular car colors for decades, and there are several cars from the '70s that came in a very similar shade of blue to that of the 350Z.
I'm not particularly a fan of the 350Z colors. There are much nicer shades of blue out there. I also don't like their copperish orange color, but there's a kandy tangerine (I think from House of Kolor) that I think would look great on the MX3.

And yea, the countache looks like it was designed with lego. Don't mean its ugly, its just very... angular. I have seen one in real life driving once and I didn't know what it was at first.

You should paint it "Rice White". That way, it could be a "Rice Sleeper".
But seriously, Black is my favorite, but it's not so good in the heat. I also love silver, but you have to have a very straight body withuniform gaps where everything fits together.

I'm also not a fan of the modern "Boutique" colors on older cars. That burnt orange looks great on a lot of new cars, but silly on a car like ours.

I would love to do an MX-3 in a nice soft satin black. Not the satin that looks like a chalkboard, just a slightly less glossy black. I saw a 240 that color and it looked incredible. A slight tint on the glass and smoke the lenses and it would look very mean.

I would have to say that there's no such a thing as certain colors not looking good on certain cars. It all comes down to personal perference, and I've got some colors that I like more than others just like anybody. As long as you know what you're doing you can make any color look good, afterall it's the quality of the paint job which is more important than the actual color. Just keep away from 2 tone and you'll be fine

Ever since I got the Mustang painted I have wanted to paint a whole car like my hood. They tinted the clear. It is a really kool looking semi gloss black. You can even wax it. (unlike flat black).
