New (to me) MX3

Post by Lesley »

Well, after much thought, I finally decided to scrap my 1996. I loved the car, but the rockers were rusted out, the gas tank leaked and there was roughly four inches of play in the shifter. Not to mention the bad struts and ball joints that were starting to go.
I found this 1992 GS on Kijiji. It's really clean, inside and out . Previous owner did extensive body work, grinding out any rust spots that were beginning, and gave it one of those "roller paint" jobs that actually looks quite good. Me, I don't have the patience to wet sand between 11 coats of paint, but am thankful someone did!
It has new brakes all around, new shocks, new-ish clutch and everything works. 128,000 kilometers. I've had the rims kicking around waiting for something pretty to put them on. I pulled all the goodies off my old GS (stainless shelby CSX exhaust, GS lip & rear spoiler, Falken tires) eventually the spoilers will go on this one, once painted.

Thanks, I looked for a couple of years before finding a clean one. My old one was great, but it was starting to look like crap.
