Anyway, this is the work log for the project car. I have since scrapped the KLZE-T project and have moved onto the rs.
I picked this one up a couple months ago after about 5 people telling me about it. and after viewing it i decided it was perfect. No ABS made me very happy, i hate it so... much. It came with Alpine Type S speakers in it, no sub and no deck(stolen). The Left front fender had been bashed in, but thats an easy fix, now the problem is finding one at pick n pull all of the left sides are bashed in
. Came with brand new mazda front struts and spring ( will be for sale when i get coil overs) a whole bunch of engine work mostly for leaks however the timing belt and all other belts were done as well.I think that just about covers it, came with next to nothing, anything wrong would be getting replaced either way. I picked it up for $1400.
The first part that i had to tackle was the horrid silence i had to deal with whenever i drove. So i grabbed a deck from canadian tire (staff discount was the only reason
) and after some screwing around with the wiring it worked! i have sound! Next on the hit list was that i didn't have any dash lights (btw that really sucks to find out when you have to drive home in the dark). talked to a tech at work printed out a wiring diagram and narrowed it down to the dimmer switch. went to car bashers, and bam $2.00 fix
I had a week off in august, and got bored. I generally find things to do with my car when i get bored, and so i did. It took about 5 days but we put it in primer! door sills and all. The paint that was on it was going down hill quick, wanted a black one, and had some rust issues(understatement) to deal will. For the final color i was thinking something along the lines of a pearl black or metallic black.
That is pretty much it for now until decided to pull the camera out and upload the pictures.
