That car was horrible...it changed hands at least 3 times because no one could finish it. It was a mismatch of parts w/ an mx3 body :(

Well I do recall someone here doing an F2 engine swap and used the MX6 spindals to use the axles and such... so he had the 5 lug on the front... but not on the rear. Sooooo it looked a little silly! But Matt I am sure you can find some knock off FD rims that look very similar... of course there not real but I think only Enkei made those rims.

That's totally different. It wasn't a conversion per-say but the parts he need to use for the RWD conversion were lug. The car had a rear axle with hubs, so the stock rear system would of been thrown out. The front would of been easy, since we wouldn't need to worry about any axles driving the front wheels.

There's some threads about this over on clubprotege.com. I looked into it briefly awhile back when I was gonna come across a killer deal on some FDs. Some of the options were 1G Probe hubs and newer 5 lug Protege hubs.

Depends on the model.. You can probably get them in 5x114.3 but also 5x100... Can you not get them in 4x100 as well?

I don't bthink its very hard. The hub on our cars is pressed into the wheel bearing. the MX6 is the same thing. I checked part numbers on the wheel bearings between the two cars and they are the same. So you could press an MX6 5bolt hub into a mx3 spindle. At that point you get a brake rotor and drill it out for 5lugs. Or get a custome rotor

It's been done more that once. At least a dozen or so times since 2003 that I know of on both MX-3 and 323s. Actually it's a pretty straight forward bolt on swap. Fortunately the MX-3 shares the same wheel bearings and spindle dimensions with a car with 5 lug hubs and same size rotors. It only requires swapping out the hub assy and rotors in the back and pressing out the front hubs out of the bearings then pressing the the 5 lug spindle back in and installing the matching rotor. When doing the front the bearing will probably blow apart so it will be best to have new bearing and seals on hand to do the job.

My buddy had a 5-lug swap on his K20 Civic and curses at it because of the limited rim choices....
