Re: diagnostic codes
its only ouch if the knock sensor is doing its job. if the knock sensor has just failed then it just means a new knock sensor and thats that. but either way its a sucky job to do.

Re: diagnostic codes
Could you explain the location of the knock sensor and where to find the codes on this site? It was not code 15, but 16, which I know is the EGR. My bad. I would greatly appreciate it.
Re: diagnostic codes
Look straight down from the top of your engine into the deepest depths right in the middle of your intake. What I was wondering is if your running high test gas who cares about the knock sensor. Anyway heres some codes. http://forums.mazdaworld.org/index.php?showtopic=19709" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: diagnostic codes
Doesn't matter how much octane you're running, a knock sensor code will make the ECU retard the timing as a failsafe, so it'll run badly (I would know).Daninski wrote:Look straight down from the top of your engine into the deepest depths right in the middle of your intake.
