Spider Halos in Canada
Re: Spider Halos in Canada
With the amount of people here who have been involved in accidents I don't think removing the DRLs is a good idea. It's proven they really help reduce accidents. colinsmx3, if you have info share it Dude I'm going to install mine soon but I need you guys to work out the issues because I'm lazy and a single dad with no time to fiddle around. Oh ya and I'm old too.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: Spider Halos in Canada
Just always turn your lows on when you drive. It's habit for me, if you always rock your lows then DRLs don't matter.
And with these puppys there's no reason not to always run you lows, cause they look so much sweeter.

Re: Spider Halos in Canada
I always turn on my headlights in low-light and low-visibility driving.
When importing vehicles from the states, most don't have DRL's, so a common and cheap trick is that they just wire in the low beams to always run. You can turn on your lights during the day, but that also means your tail lights are on too.

I went and cut the head light connectors from my parts car. If the blue plugs don't fit properly I'll just replace them with the factory ones. Thanks for pointing that issue out as I plan to install mine this week

I found a good source for weatherproof automotive connectors in all kinds of sizes, I'm plannin on replacing my stock connectors with these.

Re: Spider Halos in Canada
I soldered them together today and they work perfectly. The DRL's work well too. The poor connection I was getting must've been causing all the weird problems I was having.
I also wired the halos into the running lights. I am leaving the LED's out of it for now. I'm not sure if I like them or not.
