I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: Custom Manifold Pic
Not mine, mine looked like this.
It ran fine, but the powerband was very peaky. The short runner velocity stack design I had on mine was much more friendly for revving beyond the stock rpm range. It did make a nice increase in power on boost though. All motor it was gainless.
The one in the original post looks more like a home brew copy of the stock IM with no restrictions. As one off as most of these IMs are it's a crap shoot as to which provide better gains. The rule of thumb is that long runners help tq and short runners help hp.
I've very happy with my gutted millenia IM for my turbo setup.

Haha my bad, I tought because of the gold mx, that it might be a south florida creation over the weekend kinda thing haha.
Yea I read your post on PT about that IM pictured above (yours) and how well it responded to boost. It was funny to see others arguing the fact that it gave 20 whp on a NA setup haha even though IIRC you have dyno proof.

Re: Custom Manifold Pic
Ya, NA it actually gained .6WHP and lost 20tq. I went from 193whp to well, 193whp with that all motor, but dropped from 170tq to 150tq.
With boost, it made 40whp more than a millenia IM at 14psi. It's an IM that REQUIRES a lot of airflow.
The custom IMs are definitely worth researching, but they only compliment certain setups.

When you say velocity stacks, you mean ITB's, right?hppwdn wrote:It ran fine, but the powerband was very peaky. Haven't really read this, but probably refering to using velocity stacks within an enclosed plenum- no ITBS.Nd4SpdSe wrote:When you say velocity stacks, you mean ITB's, right?
