i would like to know how to remove the roof and how to install a new one. i'm in the market for a windsheild so because i need a roof i figured i'd do that while i'm at it

Elaborate some. A new roof like the roof liner material? or a new roof as in
your cutting the top of your car off just above the rear view mirrors?

The frame is unibody so in order to get a new roof you would have to cut
the old one off and weld a new one on. I do not recommend this.

What is the problem with your current roof?

i did figure welding was involved. however yes i'm not talking about my headliner. my roof is dented like the car rolled. my hood flew up a few weeks ago and part of it hit the roof. because of the different edges that are part of my cf hood there are two dented lines from my hood braking over my roof. i have accessto 3 mx-3's at the jy. my roof is dinged dented smashed and rusted along with a few other adjectives i may have forgotten but you get the picture. the black strip that is on the roof, i lifted that up to take a look at what i'd have to do and it looks like a sealant was wiped on with a brush before paint. what is that about? is it sealant? and i recomend against it too but i have no other alternative other than get screwed out of a summers worth of paychecks at a body shop.
