The years go bye as the mileage keeps on rolling

Post by 92EmeraldDream »

this is a topic to post about the langejevity of your mazdas, I know that they are reliable and all but just :?: how reliable are they????? Really, with the  proper tune ups and mandatory care. I own a 1992 mx3 with 170000 on the odometer.

I have about 134,000 miles and it's a smooth as ever. Not even a single valve tap or strange noise...

I bought my Mx-3 in 2002 at 109'000kms. At 141'000, I did my ZE swap, and killed the motor in a freak throttle cable issue and sits at 243'000 I believe

Got about 160,000 miles on mine... and she's a 1993 RS with power windows and locks, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.... and I've driven her to St. Louis, thoughout Arkansa, and Louisiana... and besides the tap in the engine I get every now and then... she drives extremely well. Got her about 6 years ago... and besides buying parts for her every now and then... she is just as reliable as any Toyota or Honda I've ever had.
Alot of the students at my kids school always comment on how much they like my MX, and I even got a thumbs up from a old man driving a cadillac not too long ago. Awesome interior and exterior design for a car made about 16 years ago.... a good number of people think it's a new vehicle, and with that old Mazda emblem on it... they never know what it is... and for some reason, old women think it's a Porsche  Go figure

My B6 DOHChas perfect compression and just rolled 130K.

My roommate's B6 DOHC ticks, tacks, burns oil like the dickens, leaking radiator and never puts oil in it....

with 190K and he drives it to school and work EVERY day.

So drive it till it's broke, then keep on driving it some mo'

I can agree that there are usually some minor problems that indicate higher mileage motors in these never failing very dependable mazdas and there are so many out there that noone even realizes that they can be put through HELL!!!

My SE just turned 292,000km. That's 181,000+mi. I could keep it on the road for a while yet if I wanted...but I have dreamed of that ZE for so long. It seems like a good time.
