Strong Axles Mx-3 V6

Post by psycotuner »

As my search continues, Id like to ask anyone here if there is an stronger axle than the stock axle? Yes I am aware tat driveshaftshop.com sells them and is simply the best BUT, figured id ask if there was an OEM application that works.
For example, I think I read somewhere on this forum that the $ cylinder MX-3 guys are using the Kia sephia axles, there bigger.

I also keep hearing about some place called CV tech, but I cannot find any info on them.

All in all, im making 352 WHP and only running 14's due to traction and not launching at all due to being afraid of snapping cv axles like I have before, And I would LOVE to run slicks, but even more afraid they would help in the destruction of my cv axles.

I noticed there was a groupe buy a while ago, looks as if I missed it, but they say the axle is only rated at 300 HP, but I bet they'd work for me.

I dont think theyre stronger than stock, but NAPA sells axles with a REALLY nice warranty...LOL so if you break it, return it lots of times for a new one!

http://www.a1cvtech.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Has great products for pretty cheap. They custom make them but I have a set and they fit just fine so no issues there. They Have 3 Stages of Axles i beleive, and Stage 1 is 275 - 300 and only costed around 400. Lifetime Warranty and the option to upgrade to the next stage of axle for a discount price. Its best to call them, you will get ahold of them alot faster. Here is a pic of the axles I received from them they are significantly heavier and actual shaft is thicker (No homo lol)

Well, thansk to whoever told me about CV tech, I talked with the guy several times Via email and phone calls, hes up in Quebec,Canada. Hes gonna make me some SICK axles, upgrading to 31 spline ( im going for over 400WHP ) and supplying Hubs that accept 31spline axles.

As soon as I get them, were going to the track, Ive got to figure out what sicze slicks I can put on my car.

Im sorry for this is an Ford Escort zx2 and YEs I do have problems with killing the trans/diff

Right now I have treated gears ( and YEs they have lasted me a s--- load longer and taken MORe abuse than the last few gearsets ive killed) and Got Quife LSD. since the Quife is 28 spline, I used Mx-3 V6 axles.
Cvtech axles sounds like there gonna hold up to the 24.5" slicks i put on.

NICE, Yea they can make axles for anything, at a good price too. Post up some pics once you get them. I was very tempted to go with a larger spline count but opted for the biggest axles I could get without having to send the hubs in to have the splines done, but eventually I think I will end up going with even bigger ones. Let us know how they work out.
