Get a Probinator chip: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/728690/6 for your stock ECU.

hey i ordered a chip off ebay and it sounds the same heres wut it says wut u think

Up for sale is a racing eprom for your KLZE Equipped Probe/626/MX-3/MX-6

This chip will increase power output significantly! Changes are made to the VRIS shift points for optimal performance. EGR codes will be eliminated! No more CE light lit up with this chip! Aggressive fuel and timing curves to take full advantage of performance! No need to purchase a JE50VAF! Top speed limiter is removed and the Rev limit is bumped up to 8000! Works with all 93-95 ECU's.

All chips come with easy to follow online instructions upon request. Chips are tested and shipped in protective anti-static bags. Professional installation is recommended but if you can solder good you can install the chip yourself. Feel free to email with questions.

Good luck, hopefully it works. You realize that mx3 KLZE setups usually differ because we use a different type of manifold. That chip is proly meant for a straight neck motor (what they use in probe, mx6 and 626). Contact the seller and see if they can chip to your needs,

I honestly wouldn't trust those, ebay brands are known to be horrible quality. The one you bought won't work because not only is it likely designed for the straight neck IM, it's also made to use the KL0x VAF, the MX3 uses a JE50.

Actually you're wrong. Despite it's a Probinator rip-off, it still will do the same thing, but in reality, it's not what he wants. I'll work, but it won't be any different than a KL31/Kl36 ECU, so there won't be any benefit to it except for the price, and that's if he can do the soldering job to put the chip in. The problem with the KL31/36 ECU's is that the VRIS points are not setup for a curved neck IM, so that will be the exact same as that. Just like the Probinator, it allowed the person to NOT require a JE50 VAF, but that's something that the Mx-6/626/Probe users like to not worry about cause they don't have it, but for us Mx-3'esr, that's our stock VAF, so it doesn't matter for us.

Aside from Probinator giving correct vris points for curve neck it is supposed to run a little more aggressive than ZE. I do believe it. My car pulls a hell of a lot better with the Probinator over the kl31. Its a big difference I think.

Yep, I know he has his own fuel maps, not sure about the timing. Again, it wouldn't surprise me if that chip is a rip-off and there's nothing stopping him from copying it. So if it's a copy, there's nothing wrong with it, EXCEPT that it's tuned for a straight-neck.

The 96's are OBDII, there are no performance chips for them. You're gonna have to swap over an OBD1 engine and ECU harness or use a standalone/piggyback fuel controller and find a way to control the VRIS points.
