starting and idling problem

Post by markm »

my mx3 has an extended crank when i start it up as if its not getting the propper amout of fuel provided to the cylinder. as if the injecters were cloged. it also has a very rough idle at times. i have change the o2 sensor, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor arm, spark plugs and i dont know what else to do other than fuel injectors, distributor and some sensors. any one have any idea what the problem could be.

intake tube: Check for cracks
Injectors: Clean them (injector cleaner)
check to see if the crank angle sensor? is good. Its integrated into the disty. There's ways to check to see if your disty is good, just have yourself a good 'ol fashee-ond search.
